I have recently arrived back from the PCV. The Hotel itself is really nice, the rooms spotless and the staff very helpful. The only8 bad things i have to say is that the food could be better and if yuor like us and like going to towns looking at all the shops well beware that this place is in the middle of no-where it does have a bus going to guadalavca but there isnt much there so personally not worth the trip. On the whole nice holiday can there be to much relaxing..?? I ended up at the Blau at the last minute when I found out the Playa Pesquero was having work done.
Let me say my first impressions didnt last! The first night I was tired from the travelling , it was raining and I was disappointed,it seemed quiet,a little shabby the beds are very very hard and the food choice was scarce. The next day the sun shone,the beach was to die for except sunbeds very hard because people take the in the sea and everything I ate and drank was lovely. The beach towel service was excellent,the maids are out of this world. We were left gifts from our maid on the last day one for each of the 6 of us!
My husband has multiple sclerosis and Cuba treated him like royalty from leaving the plane to checking in to go back home. The disabled facilities at the Blau put the UK to shame. If you have any disabilities and rely on a wheelchair or scooter this is the place for you.
My husband could get straight onto the beach and then roll into the beauiful warm aquamarine sea! He even managed the dolphin trip and swam with them. My two girls 12 and 10 had a ball. We never saw them. The childrens entertainers here are second to none.
Take some old books with you,we take them for granted here but they have to put their names down to borrow and share books there. We left them the last Harry Potter book as a thankyou from my girls and they were overjoyed. They work so hard,nonestop. The night entertainment varies from comic strips from the animation team to breathtaking beautiful water ballet. The drinks and bar service from the male side of staff we found to be very rude in some cases even though we tipped.
